Below is my “Frequently Asked Questions” section where I’ve answered some of my clients’ common questions about my process and my work!!

DO YOU PROVIDE ALL PROPS?
I encourage my clients to bring any items they’d like to incorporate into their session to bring their vision to life. However, the studio is equipped with stools, chairs, and backdrops, as well as any setups or themes that are arranged for the day. If you have something specific in mind, feel free to discuss it with me ahead of time!

ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS ON PROPS I CAN BRING?
To ensure a smooth session, I recommend avoiding props that are overly large, messy (e.g., glitter or confetti), or potentially hazardous. Also, please keep in mind that in-studio photos come with a one-hour rental time. Be mindful of the number and complexity of props you bring unless you’ve purchased additional studio time. If you’re unsure about a prop, feel free to check with me beforehand!

DO I GET TO KEEP ALL THE IMAGES TAKEN DURING THE PHOTO SESSION?
As a photographer, i carefully review and select the best images that truly capture the essence of your session. These are then professionally edited to ensure you receive the highest quality photos.

WHAT’S YOUR RESCHEDULING POLICY?
You’re allowed one reschedule at no extra cost as long as you let me know at least 72 hours in advance.
If you need to reschedule again after that, or if notice is given less than 72 hours before your session, a rescheduling fee may apply—especially for studio sessions, since that time is limited and non-refundable.
For outdoor sessions, if the weather isn’t cooperating (like heavy rain or unsafe conditions), I’ll happily work with you to pick a better day at no extra charge.

WHAT IS YOUR TURN AROUND TIME ON MY IMAGES?
Mini Session: 7-day turnaround
Lifestyle & Family Sessions: Up to 14 days
Event Photography: 10–12 day turnaround
Photo selection add-ons may extend turnaround by 1–2 days depending on how quickly you make your selections. -
WHAT IS THE PAYMENT PROCESS?
Sessions are booked in advance with a non-refundable deposit. Full payment is due on or before the day of the photo session.

WHAT LOCATIONS ARE SUITABLE FOR MY PHOTO SESSION AND CAN I CHOOSE A LOCATION?
I typically shoot in an outdoor or in-studio setting, utilizing natural light. Specific locations can be discussed and chosen based on your preferences.
Yes, for most sessions! Some sessions (like Mini Sessions) are at a set location I’ve pre-selected. For Lifestyle or Family Sessions, you’re welcome to suggest a location within the city or choose one of my go-to spots.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I'M LATE TO MY PHOTO SESSION?
It’s important to arrive on time for your in-studio photo session, as we cannot add any additional time the day of the session. The studio rental is limited to one hour, and starting late may reduce the amount of time available for your photos. To make the most of your session, please plan to arrive early or on time. If you need extra time, you can purchase additional studio time in advance.

HOW LONG DOES A PHOTO SESSION TYPICALLY LAST?
Portrait Sessions generally last up to an hour!

CAN I REQUEST ADDITIONAL IMAGES?
Absolutely! Additional images are $10 per retouched image.

CAN I RE-EDIT MY IMAGES?
Clients are prohibited from editing or altering finished images provided by photographer. If posted, we will kindly ask to take it down and repost original retouched images by Arden Maureen Photos.

WHICH PHOTO PACKAGE DO I PICK?
All of my photo packages are designed to be flexible and work for pretty much anyone! It just depends on what kind of experience you’re looking for and how many photos or people you’d like included.
Mini Sessions are great for quick updates, solo portraits, announcements, or fun shoots with just one person.
Lifestyle Portraits are perfect for maternity, birthdays, branding, seniors, or small families who want more time and outfit changes.
Family Sessions are best for groups (up to 6 people) and give us more room for candids, connections, and variety.
If you’re unsure which to choose, just go with what feels closest—and I’ll follow up after booking to confirm everything feels right! You’re never locked in without support.

DOES THE PHOTOGRAPHER CHOOSE MY IMAGES?
By default, I choose the best images for you! But if you prefer to hand-pick your favorites, just select the Client Photo Selection add-on ($50). This gives you access to a proof gallery to make your final picks.

IS MY PHOTO SESSION SECURED WITHOUT A DEPOSIT?
Your photo session date and time are not secured until a deposit is in place. If the deposit is not received within the 72-hour window, the time slot may become available for another booking.

WHAT DOES THE RETAINER COVER?
The retainer secures your session spot whether that’s a specific date and time, a studio rental, or both. It allows me to hold space on my calendar just for you and begin prepping for your shoot.
Please note: All retainers are non-refundable. This helps protect my time and studio reservations, especially during busy seasons.
If you need to reschedule, please let me know at least 72 hours in advance. Last-minute reschedules, particularly for studio sessions, may require an additional fee since studio time is booked in advance and non-refundable on my end as well.

HOW WILL I BE CONTACTED AFTER I INQUIRE OR BOOK?
Once you complete the booking form, I’ll be reaching out through both email and phone/text, so be sure to keep an eye on both!

This is where you’ll receive all important updates, your invoice, and any prep info for your session.

I’ll also send a quick message so you have my business number saved. From there, we can go over your photoshoot details and anything else you’d like to discuss.
If you don’t see anything in your inbox within 24 hours, be sure to check your spam or junk folder—just in case!

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
Yes! I offer a flexible payment plan to make things easier.
Your total will be split into three payments:
The retainer to secure your session
A middle payment leading up to your session
The final payment, which is due the day of your sessionYou’ll receive reminders and updates along the way, so everything stays stress-free and organized. Just let me know if you’d like to set up a payment plan when booking!

ARE ALL PHOTOS IN COLOR?
Yes! All of your images will be delivered in full color.
I simply include black and white copies of each edited photo as a bonus, because some moments just hit different in black and white. You’ll always get your color images first, and the black and white versions are just extra for you to enjoy if you’d like!
So don’t worry—you’re not missing out on color at all.

CAN I INCLUDE MORE PEOPLE IN MY SESSION?
Yes! For Lifestyle and Family Sessions, you can add extra people for $25 each. Just select the “Additional Person” add-on. Note: Mini Sessions are for one person only.
